On Friday 18 November, a 30-year-old man died at the entrance of the De Brouckère metro station in Brussels, the Brussels public prosecutor's office confirmed.
Around noon on Friday, emergency services and police arrived at the scene at the De Brouckère metro station, where they found that a 30-year-old man had died, Het Laatste Nieuws reports. The police then closed part of the station.
According to the Brussels public prosecutor's office, a medical examiner was called to the scene and an investigation was launched. "The investigation is ongoing in order to ascertain the circumstances of death. An autopsy will take place," the prosecutor's office said.
It is not yet clear when the autopsy will take place, spokesperson Willemien Baert of the Brussels public prosecutor's office told Bruzz, adding that "at first glance, there does not seem to be any third-party intervention."
