A school bus caught fire on Monday morning just across the border in the Dutch province of Limburg.
The approximately 40 passengers, Dutch students on their way to a school in Maaseik, managed to exit the vehicle in time, and no one was injured.
Various media outlets from Limburg reported this incident. The fire occurred around 07:45 on the N273. After noticing a burning smell and seeing smoke, the bus was evacuated.
Shortly after, the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames, according to regional broadcaster L1. A technical defect is likely the cause of the fire.
