The 13th edition of the breathtaking 'Dinner in the Sky' gastronomic event will see 28 chefs compete for 28 stars on its table, suspended from a crane positioned opposite Brussels' iconic landmark the Atomium.

From Thursday 30 May to Sunday 23 June, starred and non-starred chefs alike will delight the palates of 22 guests per table perched 50 metres high.

"This year's event is without doubt the best we have ever had, with a host of young chefs we are going to introduce to our public," said David Ghysels, the creator of these ephemeral Michelin-starred tables.

Three-starred chef Viki Geunes (''t Zilte') will be taking part, alongside two-starred chefs Glen Verhasselt & Yanick Dehandschutter ('Sir Kwinten') and David Martin ('La Paix'). One-starred chefs Grégoire Gillard ('Barge'), Christophe Pauly ('Le Coq aux Champs'), Stéphanie Thunus ('Au Gré Du Vent'), Julien Malaisse ('Pré de chez vous'), and Mallory Gabsi will also be present, as well as Isabelle Arpin ('La table nomade').

The suspended platform offers 32 seats, divided into eight round tables, centred around a four-metre-long central kitchen, where the chef and his team work. A four-course menu (two starters, a main course and a dessert) will be cooked and served daily by the gourmet chef of the day at lunchtime and in the evening, at 19:00 and 21:30.

Since its creation in 2010, the event has travelled the length and breadth of Brussels, taking place at the Mont des Arts, Parc du Cinquantenaire, Place de Brouckère, Place des Martyrs, in front of the Koekelberg Basilica, along the canal and at the Atomium.

'Dinner in the sky' first graced the esplanade of the Atomium during its tenth anniversary, filling it with ten tables suspended in mid-air.

This transcendent experience also comes with sky-high prices, starting from €175 per person for the cocktail and tapas session to well over €300 per person for an evening dinner. Reservations can already be made on the event's website.
