In the first quarter, Belgian telecommunications company, Telenet, witnessed a decline in its client base, according to parent company Liberty Global’s Thursday report.
Specifically, Telenet lost 800 mobile phone and 6,000 fixed internet service customers.
Liberty Global attributes this customer turnover to fierce sector competition.
Sales-boosting marketing campaigns have failed to counter customer volatility.
Financially, however, Telenet says it remains “on track” to meet its forecasts.
In February, the firm predicted lower profits in 2024, citing it as an “investment year”.
