The 2024 edition of Les Nuits Botanique, one of the first events on the summer festival agenda, was a great success, organisers announced. The festival attracted over 27,000 music lovers, with 13 shows selling out.

An extended 31st edition of the festival ran for 12 days from 24 April to 5 May with a programme featuring an eclectic line-up of 150 artists, both international and local, on five different stages. For the first time, Botanique collaborated with Halles de Schaerbeek to expand its capacity.

Similar to a festival, there are multiple acts each day. However, unlike festivals in a single location, participants buy a ticket for one venue and only see the artists playing there. The event aims to encourage musical discovery by bringing together up-and-coming talents and well-established artists in one concert.

The 2024 edition of the Brussels festival attracted more than 27,000 visitors, despite "the worst weather in recent years and a record nine cancellations," organisers announced on Sunday night. A total of 13 concerts were completely sold out.

Event highlights

"The Garden Party, introduced in 2023 and expanded this year, proved to be one of the festival highlights," the organisers added. Another key date was Bota by Night on 27 April (when the party goes on until the early hours).

The audience also responded enthusiastically to the All Access day on 4 May, which gives visitors access to all the concerts in the three halls and the Chapiteau – a total of 25 bands – with a single ticket. "A total festival experience that magnifies the magical potential of the Botanique site," the organisers concluded.

Les Nuits 2025 will take place around and on the weekends of 18 and 25 May "with a formula that will continue to evolve". But before then, Botanique will organise its very first autumn version of Nuits Botanique, named 'Les Nuits Weekender'.

The event will take place on 1, 2 and 3 November, and as with the longer programme in the springtime, it will encourage musical discovery with stages at the Orangerie, Museum and the Witloof Bar hosting a range of musical talent with just one ticket.
