The Kyiv Military Institute's orchestra will perform at Antwerp's AMUZ concert hall on Tuesday evening. The ensemble is touring the Benelux countries, performing a mix of Western and Ukrainian music.
According to the organisers, this is the military orchestra's first tour outside Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion in February 2022. "The evening promises to be full of emotion, passion and musical virtuosity," they stated.
The orchestra will perform as a big band, accompanied by two female singers and a male singer. The proceeds will go to the children evacuated from the city of Mariupol, which is currently under Russian control.
The Military Institute is part of Taras Shevchenko University in Kyiv.
