Fine Bakery's extra large croissant is back by popular demand, the Brussels-based establishment has announced.

Measuring 60 centimetres in length and weighing one kilogram, Fine Bakery Brussels has continued production of this colossal croissant following the product's previous success.

The 'croissant XXL' is a "unique piece to share with family or friends for breakfast or a decadent brunch," say its creators.

The enormous pastry is a French delicacy prepared using only the finest of French ingredients. There are around 15 normal-sized croissant servings in each XXL, so the bakery recommends sharing one between groups of eight to ten.

The XXL costs €38 a pop due to the time and effort that goes into the baking process. In addition, it is only available at the weekends and must be ordered at least 48 hours in advance.

Those wishing to sample this unique pastry can order via telephone and collect the croissant at either of Fine Bakery's shops, on Rue des Minimes in Sablon or on Rue Vanderkindere in Uccle.
