TB² Festival, Les Brigittines, until Friday 14 June
The iconic dance-focused arts venue the Brigittines and the Théâtre Les Tanneurs are for the third time joining forces in the coming weekends to close the arts season in Brussels in style. It will host combined evening performances at both arts centres, with the first show starting at 19:00 in one place, followed by a second one at the second venue.
This weekend, the event will start at Les Brigittines, nestled in Les Marolles, with Landfall by Erika Zueneli, which sees ten performers enter the stage one by one, slowly showing more of their personality through dance, soon crossing paths with other performers to form a colourful social circle. Later in the evening, a second show will start at Théâtre Les Tanneurs: Thierry Smits' new challenge Vanishing Act. Marking his 60th birthday, he will venture out alone on stage, just as he did when he started, echoing his artistic journey through his performance.

Out and about
Brussels Renaissance Festival, until Friday 5 July
The Brussels Renaissance Festival, which kicked off last weekend, marks one of the best ways to experience the city and explore its history. Through a series of events, it transports onlookers back in time to the 16th century, aiming to highlight the city's role during this period.
While the highlight of the festival – the UNESCO-recognised Ommegang processions – won't take place until the start of July, there are plenty of unique activities taking place in the meantime. This weekend, Renaissance Day will take place in the Breadhouse – the imposing Neo-Gothic building on Brussels' Grand Place. Enjoy live performances of music of the period and secular chants, Verdadera Destreza (traditional fencing) and Renaissance dancing (Cadanza Renaissance).

What better way to fully wind down and prepare for the busy week ahead than to get out your dancing shoes to the sounds of Latin America? The afternoon starts with a dance lesson during which participants get taught both basic and more advanced Bachata and Salsa moves.
Once people have the hang of the dance, a DJ will blast the best of the Latin American genres, giving people the chance to showcase their newly-taught moves.
