For the much anticipated last runway show of iconic Belgian fashion designer Dries Van Noten at Paris Fashion Week, the famous Belgian DJ collective Soulwax revisited David Bowie to create a mesmerising sound mix for the grand finale.

After announcing last March that he was stepping down and that the Spring-Summer 2025 Men would be his last collection, Van Noten showed his it on the runway during Paris Fashion Week last weekend.

"Over the last 20 years, Soulwax has been fortunate to have been asked to collaborate with Dries and his team on a number of runway show soundtracks," a press release read.

Specifically for this show, Soulwax dove into archive footage of David Bowie and created a mix of interview snippets as well as the singer's 'Moonage Daydream' and 'Sound and Vision' tracks to mark Van Noten's goodbye.

Soulwax has always tried to focus its mixes on one particular song or one artist as opposed to a mix of loosely connected tracks, as was and still is quite common in fashion. "This context has allowed them to deconstruct and rebuild some of their favourite artists and/or pieces of music, using the original multitrack recordings."

"Obviously a dream come true for us music junkies," the band said. "It seemed only fitting then, that for his final and fittingly emotional show we revisit David Bowie and rework Sound and Vision."
