The 34th edition of Dour Festival will begin on Wednesday, bringing together the best in alternative music, from electronica to rap to indie.

Taking place from 17 to 21 July, the music event promises an extensive line-up of over 230 performers gracing eight stages, comprised of both global stars and emerging artists. A crowd of around 250,000 festival-goers is expected over the five days.

The Dour Festival will host a diverse range of musical genres across its stages. Included among these is The Last Arena, the largest stage, boasting a capacity of 20,000, the electronic stage De Balzaal, and the Boombox, dedicated to hip-hop, soul, RnB and swing. Indie music fans can head towards La Petite Maison dans la Prairie.

Electronic music fans will be pleased with the addition of Justice to the line-up, alongside famous Belgian DJ Amélie Lens, I Hate Models, Trym, Camelphat, Reinier Zonneveld and Bicep.

Drum and bass enthusiasts can look forward to performances, mainly on Thursday at Balzaal, from Drum'n'Bass household names such as Alix Perez, Koven, Bou, Netsky and Subtronics. On Friday, UK duo Chase & Status, who brought us one of 2023's most coveted tunes, Baddadan, will showcase their new album on the main stage.

The festival will serve rap fans with performances from Dinos, Caballero & JeanJass, Hugo TSR, Kaaris and Skepta. Other not-to-miss headliners include James Blake, NTO x Sofiane Pamart, Oscar and the Wolf and Zaho de Sagazan.

As in previous years, a robust security measure will be implemented during the festival. The fight against drugs will intensify in 2024, with the threshold lowered to the possession of 3 grams of cannabis. A substantial health protocol will also be enacted, including around 200 Red Cross medics each day.

Finally, party-goers will have access to the traditional mega-campsite located near the site.
