Prince Emmanuel of Belgium has graduated from the International School of Brussels with an International Baccalaureate (IB).
The third son of King Phillipe and Queen Mathilde, the 18-year-old's secondary school chapter in Watermael-Boitsfort has come to an end.
Next academic year, he will follow in his sister Princess Elisabeth's (23) steps and go overseas to pursue further education. He will focus on language and sports training at a foreign academy but "will remain involved in activities of the royal family" while away.
The Prince began his studies in English at the International School of Brussels in 2020. Before that, he attended the Dutch-speaking Eureka school in Kessel-Lo, just outside Leuven. As a member of the Belgian Royal Family, he is also fluent in French.
King Philippe's and Queen Mathilde's four children recently attended the Olympic Games in Paris. The entire family was also present at Princess Elisabeth's graduation from Oxford University in the United Kingdom last month. The Crown Princess will begin a Master's programme at Harvard Univerity in the United States in September.
Prince Gabriel (20) currently studies Social and Military Sciences in Dutch at the Royal Military School while the youngest, Princess Eléonore (16), also studies at the International School of Brussels.
