Federal negotiator Bart De Wever (N-VA) is convening a meeting of all negotiators for Friday.
A planned working lunch had had to be cancelled on Wednesday after the various parties with which he is negotiating found his revised socio-economic blueprint insufficiently balanced.
That meeting has now been rescheduled for Friday.
During a week’s holiday, De Wever had drafted a revised version of his so-called ‘supernote,’ aimed at forming a government with the Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie (N-VA), Vooruit, Christen-Democratisch en Vlaams (CD&V), Mouvement Réformateur (MR), and Les Engagés parties.
A number of parties had not considered the previous edition of the ‘supernote,’ focusing on taxation, labour market, and pensions, an adequate basis for negotiation.
