Cineville Pass holders will be able to gain access to seven cinemas in Flanders from 1 September, in addition to 14 cinemas in Brussels and Wallonia.
The Cineville Pass offers unlimited access to all member cinemas for €21 a month (€18 a month for those under 26). From Sunday, it can be used in 21 Belgian cinemas: eight in Brussels, seven in Flanders and six in Wallonia.
"Two years after the launch in Brussels and the partnership with 14 cinemas in Wallonia and Brussels, we can now finally also offer Flemish cinema-goers unlimited access in the cinemas of the Lumière network," Cineville Belgium's director and coordinator, Thibault Quirynen, told Cinenews.
The independent cinemas joining Cinevelle are the Lumière cinemas in Bruges, Antwerp and Mechelen, as well as Cartoon's Cinema in Antwerp and Studio Skoop in Ghent (which are both part of the Lumière network). De Cinema in Antwerp is also joining, as is cinema ZED in Leuven.
Cineville originally launched in the Netherlands in 2009, where members now visit more than 1.5 million film screenings in over 70 cinemas every year.
