A pedestrian was hit by a STIB bus on Friday in the Brussels district of Evere, according to police spokesperson Audrey Dereymaeker.
The woman, who is in her forties, was immediately taken to hospital, where her life was considered to be in danger, the spokesperson added.
The driver of the bus, who tested negative for alcohol, was taken to the police station for questioning.
The exact circumstances surrounding the accident “remain to be determined,” Dereymaeker said.
