A 16-year-old boy was injured on Monday in Merksem, Antwerp, after getting hit by a tram, according to local police reports.
The incident occurred around 8:00 on Monday morning in Bredabaan, near Burgemeester Nolfplein.
The teen who was likely on his way to school didn’t notice the approaching tram until it was too late.
He was taken to the hospital. The boy was conscious and not in critical condition.
Several tram timetables in Merksem have been disrupted due to the accident.
