Two trams collided in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre on Thursday morning, injuring six people.
Two trams on line 39 and 44 hit each other near Madoux tram stop at around 07:30 on Thursday morning. However, it is unclear what caused the collision to occur.
The incident was first reported by RTBF and has since been confirmed to the Belga News Agency.
Emergency services (SIAMU) dispatched four ambulances, a fire engine and a traffic sign vehicle to the scene. Six people were injured and received treatment.
The incident disrupted tram traffic on line 39 (between stops Musée du Tram and Stockel) and on line 44 (between Musée du Tram and Trois Couleurs).
Public transport operator STIB provided shuttle buses along these routes this morning but normal traffic has now resumed.
