The 36th European Heritage Days in Wallonia will offer over 300 activities in 118 municipalities this weekend, centred around the theme Heritage for All.

Like the last two editions, this event will have a vast theme around inclusivity. Notably, a unique program has been designed for people with reduced mobility (PRM), deafness, hard of hearing, blindness, visual impairments, and comprehension difficulties.

PRMs can enjoy an adapted all-terrain vehicle in the maquis of Croix-Scaille in Gedinne or a jöelette at the Citadel of Namur.

Guided tours, tailor-made for blind and visually-impaired visitors, will be available at the abbeys of Villers in Villers-la-Ville and Stavelot, as well as in the historic centre of Philippeville. Special facilities are also in place for the deaf and hard of hearing at the Gaspar Museum in Arlon and the Scladina cave in Andenne.

In total, over 300 activities have been organised for all audiences, including various concerts, lectures, and fun-filled interactive activities. The event is free of charge, but reservations are recommended. The full programme is available at www.journeesdupatrimoine.be.

In Flanders, more than 800 monuments will open this Sunday, with a thousand activities scheduled. All information is available at www.openmonumentendag.be. While in Brussels, the event will take place the following weekend on 14-15 September.
