Deliveroo is set to deliver pet food in select areas of Belgium following the conclusion of an exclusive partnership with the Tom&Co pet-product chain.
The service initially excludes Wallonia, according to a statement issued on Tuesday. For now, customers in Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Bruges, and Kortrijk will be able to choose from 262 items for cats and dogs, but the company says it has plans to expand the new offering.
This collaboration is seen by Deliveroo as an “important step” towards its diversification into non-food products. The partnership with Tom&Co is also a significant addition to current offerings, since many Belgian households own pets.
The delivery firm plans to secure more partnerships in future.
