During the provincial elections for Miss Belgium 2025 on Saturday, Ioana Oliveira (24) took home the prize of Miss Brussels. Ten candidates from the Capital Region competed for the title.
During the provincial final, the jury chooses a Miss in each province, together with a first and second place of honour. Oliveira's runners-up are Sofije Karaqica and Andreea Miron.
Kalina Matondo-Mbela from Evere also won a prize: she was elected Miss Public, La Capitale reports.
The event included fashion shows and other performances, such as dancing, singing and poetry. The 11 candidates (one for each province, plus the Brussels-Capital Region) will participate in the final for Miss Belgium 2025.
At the end of November, they will travel to Sharm-el-Sheik in Egypt, with the national final planned for early 2025. The winner will take over the title of Miss Belgium in 2025 from Kenza Ameloot.
