Dozens of employees from weapons manufacturer FN Herstal in the Liège province are blocking access to the company on Wednesday, causing a complete standstill, according to the socialist union FGTB.

Access to FN Herstal has been blocked since 06:00 am on Wednesday. Patrick Masson from the socialist union stated that there have been longstanding demands for better working conditions for administrative staff and managers.

Due to management’s perceived inaction, employees have decided to strike. The strike is only planned for Wednesday. However, if there is no progress within a week, the employees will strike again next Wednesday.

FN Herstal employs approximately 1,300 people, including clerical staff, labourers, and managers.
