The Flemish Parliament approved the new regional government’s coalition agreement on Wednesday evening.
Flemish Prime Minister Matthias Diependaele's government obtained the green light from the parliamentarians after a marathon debate that lasted nearly nine hours.
The majority parties—Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie (N-VA), Vooruit, and Christen Democratisch & Vlaams (CD&V) —voted in favour.
The opposition Vlaams Belang, Open VLD, Groen, and Partij v/d Arbeid (PDVA) voted against, while M’Hamed Kasmi from Team Fouad Ahidar abstained.
