All flights departing from Charleroi Airport will be cancelled on Tuesday due to a security staff strike action, a spokesperson for the airport has announced.
The safety of passengers and staff cannot be guaranteed due to staff shortages. Affected passengers will be contacted by their airline for a refund or new booking.
All arrivals at Brussels South Charleroi Airport (BSCA) will proceed as scheduled. Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline to confirm their return flights.
Charleroi Airport is working hard to resume normal operations by Wednesday.
The airport has been impacted by numerous industrial actions in the past months. September saw a similar strike as unions protested an excessive workload and a poor relationship between management and staff on the ground.
