The Festival des Égalités will return for its second edition from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 November in Namur, the organisers announced in a statement on Wednesday.
This year's central theme is mental health. The festival will feature exhibitions, concerts, performances, round tables, film screenings, and an association village.
Topics addressed will include access to healthcare, psychiatric follow-up, burnout, youth in distress and mental health in prisons, among others. The organisers highlighted the festival's vibrant atmosphere, thanks to a "rich programme of artistic and celebratory events."
Visitors can explore the free exhibition 'La moindre des choses' at the Delta. This installation has been created by patients from two specialised healthcare institutions.
The Quatuor Hermès will perform at the Namur Concert Hall on Thursday 21 November with works from Erik Satie, Igor Stravinsky, John Cage, and other famous composers.
French artist Adèle Castillon (22) will take the stage at the Delta on Saturday 23 November to present her debut solo album: 'Plaisir Risque Dépendance'.
The Festival des Égalités is an initiative by the Secular Action Centre of the Province of Namur. The first edition, held in 2022, focused on gender equality.
