Gunshots were fired at several homes in the Brussels municipality of Koekelberg on Sunday night, according to the Brussels-West police zone. No one was injured.
"Our services were called around 02:00 due to loud bangs heard on Rue Houzeau de Lehaie," said police spokesperson Martijn Baes.
"Upon arrival, our intervention unit found bullet impacts on some façades. We immediately established a security perimeter and informed the Public Prosecutor. A ballistics expert and the Federal Judicial Police laboratory came to the scene."
The perpetrator and the circumstances surrounding the gunshots remain unknown.
"All leads are still open, and the investigation is ongoing," added the police.
