The Brussels-based non-profit Hind Rajab Foundation has filed a complaint with the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague against Israel’s new military attaché in Brussels.
Moshe Tetro, aged 43, was responsible for overseeing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, a matter included in the ICC arrest warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to De Morgen on Tuesday.
The Israeli army colonel led a unit that controlled humanitarian aid access points in Gaza. Tetro denied reports in several international media outlets about shortages of food, water, and medicine, which contradicted repeated UN warnings.
Dyab Abou Jahjah, President of the Hind Rajab Foundation, stated, "He is a key figure in the execution of Israeli policy towards hospitals and the use of hunger and thirst as weapons of war." Conversely, Israel describes Tetro as a decorated and respected officer.
"There were no objections to his appointment, and he received full diplomatic accreditation," confirmed Israeli ambassador Idit Rosenzweig-Abu in De Morgen. "Israel operates in accordance with international law."
