EasyJet has announced new routes between Brussels and two Italian cities.
The aviation company will launch two new routes next spring: one from Brussels to Milan and the other from Brussels to Rome.
The move means that easyJet has taken over the takeoff and landing rights that once belonged to Brussels Airlines.
This is due to the fact that Lufthansa's daughter company had to terminate its services to Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino airports because of its stake in the Italian airline ITA Airways.
In spring 2025, easyJet will open a base with five aircraft in Milan and three in Rome. From these two airports, the company will offer 27 new connections from the end of March. These include Brussels, a route already operated by Brussels Airlines.
