Three shops in the Brussels municipality of Ixelles were sealed on orders from the labour auditor’s office last Saturday.
The action followed a joint inspection by Brussels police, the National Social Security Office, the Regional Employment Inspectorate, and federal agencies for Economy, Health, and Finance, as reported by the Brussels police on Tuesday.
Twelve businesses were inspected, and none were found fully compliant with administrative regulations. Violations included discrepancies in bookkeeping, seven infractions related to non-compliant cosmetic products, and workers lacking the necessary permits.
"These included temporary workers who were employed full-time, two students working without contracts, and employees without proper Dimona registration," police stated. "Three businesses accumulated so many violations that the labour auditor decided to seal them."
