Hidden Belgium: Café Tati

Café Tati is a friendly, local spot in Antwerp’s Berchem district. The café dates back to 1900, but the current owners have revamped the interior in vintage 1950s style as a loving homage to the French comic actor Jacques Tati.

They offer a simple vegetarian menu, local beers and a programme of jazz concerts. Overlooking a cobbled square, it’s a relaxed place to sit out in the late summer under a big red umbrella.
