Hidden Belgium: Instroom

Chef Seppe Nobels gave up running a fashionable Antwerp restaurant to launch an experimental project in the docklands called Instroom (Inflow).

His aim was to offer training to refugees from all over the world to enable them to integrate into Belgium.

His restaurant moved recently to the Academy of Fine Arts where international fashion students study. The five-course menu is inspired by recipes from the trainees’ homelands, with a focus on fresh local ingredients.
