Federal negotiators will not meet on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, due to a short Christmas break announced by formateur Bart De Wever.
Federal negotiations are set to continue from 26 December, Boxing Day, initially with technical workgroups involving party experts.
The main negotiators are expected to reconvene from the weekend.
Negotiators from the Nieuw-Vlaamse Alliantie, MR, Les Engagés, Christen Democratisch en Vlaams and Vooruit parties met on Monday from midday to discuss socio-economic dossiers included in a new reform note by De Wever.
A source described the meeting as “serene and constructive.”
