A Tesla Cybertruck vehicle exploded on Wednesday outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and slightly injuring seven others, local police said.
"There is one deceased person inside the Cybertruck," Las Vegas Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill said at a press conference broadcast by the ABC television network.
McMahill added that seven people had suffered "minor injuries."
Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on social network X that his teams were investigating the explosion.
He said he had never seen anything like it.
