The curators of chips and semiconductor manufacturer BelGaN have announced the sale of the company's premises this weekend.
The property spans over four hectares, including two clean rooms, and is located along the N60 in Oudenaarde, East Flanders.
BelGaN went bankrupt three months ago, resulting in over 400 job losses. The company specialised in producing innovative gallium nitride-based semiconductors.
With no buyer for the business found, the assets are now being liquidated. The curators are seeking a purchaser for the company’s building.
The property at Westerring 15 includes an industrial building covering 4 hectares, 38 ares, and 88 centiares. It features two clean rooms, measuring 700 and 3,657 square metres respectively, designed to isolate sensitive operations from atmospheric contamination.
