Temperatures are expected to rise this weekend across the country, even if sunny spells are only expected on Sunday.
Cloud cover will be abundant with some rain in places, with maximum temperatures between 7 and 13 degrees and a moderate south wind with gusts slightly exceeding 40 km/h, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute (IRM) in its midday forecasts on Thursday.
A bit of rain may still occur locally on Thursday evening and overnight, but the weather will become dry everywhere.
Minimum temperatures will range from 3° to 10° with generally moderate south winds.
On Friday, weather will remain dry in most regions with the sun occasionally obscured by numerous clouds.
Temperatures will be particularly mild, with highs of 12° in the High Fens and 16° to 17° in the plains, under a moderate south wind with occasional gusts between 40 and 55 km/h.
Saturday will be cloudy with periods of rain, more persistent in the west of the country, while intermittent dry periods will occur in the east.
By the end of the day, clear skies and dry weather will reach the coast.
Maximum temperatures will reach 10° to 14° under a generally moderate south to south-west wind.
On Sunday morning, widespread grey skies will give way to clear spells.
In the afternoon, more medium and high clouds will move into the western parts of the country.
Maximum temperatures will vary between 10° and 14° under a light to moderate wind, becoming moderate or fairly strong at the coast, from the south.
On Monday, a band of rain will cross the country towards the east.
Behind it, some clear spells with scattered showers will follow.
Maximum temperatures will range between 8° and 12° under a moderate south-west wind, fairly strong at sea.
