The furniture shop, IKEA, is recalling various string lights and lighting fixtures due to non-compliant power plugs.
The affected products include outdoor LED string lights and fixtures from the Ledljus, Sommarlanke, Strala, Svarta, and Utsund ranges.
According to the Swedish company’s statement, the power plug of these products does not meet safety standards, posing a risk of electric shock.
Ikea urges customers to immediately stop using these products and contact the company. The products can be identified by their LED transformer name (ICPSH24-2-IL-1), the manufacturing date, the LED transformer, and the power plug name (SYK-02F).
The specific products are as follows:
- Ledljus black outdoor string light, 24 bulbs
- Ledljus black outdoor string light, 64 bulbs
- Sommarlanke beige outdoor LED floor lamp, 100 cm
- Sommarlanke multicolour outdoor LED string light, 12 bulbs
- Strala gold outdoor LED blinking string light, 24 bulbs, stars
- Strala outdoor LED curtain light, 48 bulbs, stars
- Svarta black outdoor LED string light, 12 bulbs
- Utsund black outdoor LED string light, 24 bulb

The affected LED transformers are ICPSH24-2-IL-1.
The manufacturing date codes for the affected transformers are 2138, 2141, 2148, 2209, 2215, 2224, 2231, 2236, 2320, 2326, 2332, 2336, 2347, 2409, 2413, 2421, 2423, 2424, 2426, 2434, and 2437.
The affected power plug is SYK-02F.

Products with other LED transformers, manufacturing dates, and power plugs are not affected by this recall, the company clarified.
Affected products can be returned to any IKEA store for a full refund. Proof of purchase is not required.
