Parking a car for one week at airport car parks in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany has become over 7% more expensive on average in a year – except at Brussels Airport where prices dropped significantly, a report from vliegveldinfo.nl showed.

Vliegveldinfo.nl examined parking fees at 16 airports, including five each in Belgium and the Netherlands, and six in Germany. The website compared the average of the lowest available prices in spring and summer.

Across all airports, the average cost to park a car for eight days has increased by €6 to €88 over the past year, due mainly to significant price increases at German airports. Brussels Airport was the only airport where prices dropped significantly, from an average of €96.50 last year to €78.

Surprisingly, Antwerp Airport is the most expensive airport for parking at €132 (unchanged), followed by Düsseldorf at €139 (+€39). Even at Schiphol – Europe's fourth-largest airport – travellers can park for less, at €128.50 (+€7.50).

In Belgium, Charleroi Airport remains the cheapest at €59 (+€1), though shuttle bus users need to pay an additional €8 per person. Only Groningen (€52.50) and Münster (€54) have lower prices among the 16 airports analysed. Parking at Ostend costs €76 (+€4) and at Liège €97 (unchanged).

For weekend parking of three days, vliegveldinfo.nl found it relatively more expensive, averaging €56 (+€1.90). Belgium's five airports are among the seven cheapest, with prices ranging from €31.50 (Ostend) to €54 (Brussels Airport). Schiphol is the most expensive at €98.50.
