A 54-year-old man died following a dispute outside a bar in Chimay, in southern Hainaut, during the night from Saturday to Sunday, authorities announced on Tuesday.
It follows reports from various media outlets, a suspect has been arrested.
The suspect, in his twenties, struck the victim at the temple, causing him to fall to the ground.
Police arrived quickly after noticing the ambulance and emergency services, according to the Charleroi prosecutor’s office.
The victim succumbed to his injuries.
