Belgium’s streak of springlike weather is expected to end on Friday, when temperatures will drop to a maximum of 10 degrees, the latest Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) forecast shows.
On Tuesday, the weather will remain dry, although occasional clear skies will alternate with cloudy fields, according to the RMI.
Maximum temperatures will reach 14°C in the High Fens (Hautes Fagnes), 17°C in the centre and 18°C to 19°C in the Kempen (an area in the provinces of Antwerp and Limburg).
The wind can reach up to 50 km/h, especially over the western half of the country.
Tuesday evening and night, the weather will become lightly cloudy in most areas. During the night, on the southern flank of the Ardennes, low clouds may develop and limit visibility.
The minimum temperatures will be between 5°C in the Ardennes and 11°C in the centre.
On Wednesday, the day will be sunny with maximum temperatures of 14°C to 19°C while the cloudiness will increase on Thursday but the weather will remain dry until the evening, with temperatures of up to 15°C.
From Friday onwards, the maximum temperatures will be around 10°C and the weather will still be dry. Similar conditions are expected for the weekend and Monday.
