The Bright Brussels light festival will return to the capital this week, and for its sixth edition, a new district will be included in the tour.
From Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 February, light installations by Belgian and foreign artists will once again brighten the long winter nights in the Royal district, the European district and many of the city’s parks every evening, from 19:00 to 23:00.
For the first time, the festival will extend to the Flagey district, which will bask in a warm red glow created by large flowers.
"For four days, light, creativity and culture will put Brussels in the spotlight! Everyone can choose an itinerary, with or without a guide, to get to know our heritage and Brussels in a different light," said Brussels Minister-President Rudi Vervoort said.
In total, 20 installations will be placed across the capital, allowing visitors to discover or rediscover the capital's neighbourhoods in a different light. Some of the installations, including "Diving in the sea of colours," were also featured in Ghent’s light festival in November last year.

This year's festival also has an "OFF programme", allowing visitors to extend their nightly escapade by visiting a number of cultural institutions in the capital, as some museums will open their doors to the public after hours for the festival’s period.

A valid Covid Safe Ticket (CST) is required to access all indoor venues (artworks and museums) while wearing a mask is mandatory along the outdoor routes.
