Bus company FlixBus will resume its routes to Ukraine, the company and the Ukrainian government announced on Friday.

Routes to Kiev and seven other cities, including Lviv, will be reopened in the coming days.

“Ukrainian bus companies that take passengers into the country say that the Ukrainian border crossing is currently safe enough,” according to a FlixBus spokesperson.

FlixBus also notes that more and more Ukrainians are expressing a desire to return to Ukraine. According to the company, half of the refugees who left Ukraine would like to return, Belga news agency notes.

The company intends to offer “safe, comfortable and affordable” travel, the spokesperson added. The FlixBus website already offers the option to book the Ukrainian routes. All Ukrainian destinations offered by the bus company are accessible via a connection in Warsaw or Prague.

The Belgian Foreign ministry still advises against traveling to Ukraine. They mention the risk that the situation may worsen in the coming days, especially in Kiev.
