After two years of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Brussels-based festival Couleur Café is back this summer, and on Wednesday, it revealed 16 new names for this year's line-up. The festival will kick off on the weekend of 24 June 2022.

Set in the idyllic setting of Osseghem Park, Couleur Café is one of Brussels' favourite festivals, with every edition bringing together an eclectic mix of genres such as reggae, soul, jazz, funk, rap and beyond.

On Wednesday, the organisation announced that it has added a new batch of artists to the three-day festival near the Atomium, with new acclaimed names such as British rapper AJ Tracey, Zambian-Australian rapper Sampa the Great, the Cuban afro-funk band Cimafunk, the dancehall DJs Blackbird Soundsystem and the samplist specialist, Manudigital.

Another big name added to the lineup is the American rapper Bas, who will take the stage on Saturday.

Furthermore, it announced it would be holding a Belgian rap showcase with Rare Akuma, Dushima, Shaka Shams, Narko T, Stace, Roswein, RonnyHuana, Echt! and Commander Spoon.

Among the headliners already announced, Couleur Café will host Shaggy, Youssou N'Dour, Mr Eazi, Pongo, IAMDDB, Nathy Peluso, Nitrogen, Dub Inc and Fally Ipupa.

There will also be appearances of Belgian rap favourites Zwangere Guy and Caballero & Jean Jass. Among the DJs booked are Giles Peterson, Philou Louzlou, Romare and Detroit techno legend, Carl Craig.
