Singer-songwriter Angèle and artiste Metejoor were the big winners on Saturday evening at the Music Industry Awards (MIA) in Flanders, making off with three prizes each, Belga News Agency reports.
Angèle won in the "Pop" and "Solo Female Artiste" categories, while “Fever,” sung with Dua Lipa, was crowned “Hit of the Year 2021”.
Metejoor, who produced his début album, “Metejoor” in 2021, won in the “Breakthrough,” “Best Dutch Language” and “Solo Man” categories.
Due to the health crisis, the Flemish music sector was unable to hand out its awards last year. As a result, a double edition of the MIA was held at the Palais 12 in Heysel on Saturday evening.
