The Brussels Public Prosecutor is investigating two suspected cases of ‘needle spiking’ during Belgian Pride last Saturday. Among other things, a toxicological examination has been carried out. So far, no suspect has been arrested.
After one case of needle spiking was reported on Monday by an unsuspecting party-goer at Pride who was stung with a syringe containing a substance, the Public Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that at least two people have reported the crime.
“It is true that two complaints were filed on Monday with the Brussels North police,” said spokeswoman Sarah Durant. “It concerns two women who were present at the Belgian Pride.”
“The Public Prosecutor’s Office is now conducting two separate investigations, although both files are being investigated together. We are waiting for the results of the toxicological investigation, among other things.”
As the investigation has been initiated. However, no suspect has been arrested for the time being.
