The new Disney series Ms. Marvel is the first-ever series in the Marvel franchise about a Muslim superhero.
The new series is directed by the Belgian duo, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, who are doing a promotional tour for the latest Marvel instalment, with the first screening in London and the second screening in Brussels last Monday.
Press and invited guests were at the screening, including Belgian Princess Delphine who came to the premiere along with her husband and son.
Just a few days ago, El Arbi and Fallah were at Cannes to promote the film 'Rebel', a smaller Belgian film about Syrian fighters.

Ms Marvel is something completely different, as a six-episode Hollywood series. The main character is Kamala Khan is also known as Ms Marvel, a Muslim Pakistani-American teenager from New Jersey.
She gets the ability to stretch her body in almost any way imaginable after being exposed to a particular type of bomb. However, her abilities in the TV series are very different from her comic book counterpart. In Ms. Marvel on Disney+, Kamala wears mysterious cosmic bangles that lets her access other powers.
A new role model
"We are extremely proud that we were able to make this," said Bilall Fallah at the premiere. "To be able to create the first Muslim superheroine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an incredible honour and a dream come true."
The Belgian directing team hope that Ms. Marvel can become a role model for Muslim girls and women, but not only them. "It's a very universal story that the whole world can relate to, that everyone can have empathy for," said El Arbi.
El Arbi and Fallah directed the first and last episodes of the series, while also participating in the casting and acted as executive producers of the series.
"We followed up on all the episodes so that everything is in our style," said Bilall Fallah during a press interviews in Brussels.
"Marvel Studios makes the rules, but they let us do it, as long as we don't overdo it," stressed Adil El Arbi. "The first episode we shot determined the visual style of the rest of the series."
Ms. Marvel will screen on June 8 on the streaming platform Disney+.
