The Brussels universities VUB and ULB have been ranked among the 300 best universities in the world, according to the international Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking.

The French-language Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) sits in 210th place, while the Flemish Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is 251st.

The ranking is based on six indicators, from academic and employer reputation to the number of international students enrolled. It also takes into account the number of students and scholarly publications per faculty, as well as the international faculty ratio.

While there are several university rankings based on different criteria, the QS ranking is the most widely viewed university ranking worldwide, according to web traffic analysis.
