The end of the E411 motorway at the Herrmann-Debroux viaduct, a key entrance to Brussels, will be closed off this weekend in the direction of the city due to road works, which are expected to cause "major disruption."
From Friday evening at 21:00 until Monday morning at 05:00, asphalting will take place on the end of the E411 motorway in the direction of the city entrance at the Herrmann-Debroux viaduct, Brussels Mobility announced this week.
As these works are expected to disrupt traffic, local diversions have been set up via the Chaussée de Wavre, Avenue Herrmann-Debroux and Avenue Demey.
"We advise motorists in transit to stay on the Ring R0ad from the Leonard crossroads to the Quatre Bras and then take the Avenue de Tervuren/Boulevard du Souverain," the organisation said in a press release.

Further disruptions
At the start of July, another asphalting operation that will also cause disruption is planned. From Friday 8 July at 21:00 to noon on Sunday 10 July, asphalting will take place on the Ring 0 at Anderlecht (between BKM 54.45 and 55.5).
"The work will be carried out alternately on the left and right lanes in order to keep a traffic lane available at all times. Motorway accesses and exits will remain open."

In the coming months, Brussels Mobility will be investing €10 million in the preventive renovation of large sections of road key roads in the city. The multi-annual planning is based on a map of the condition of the road network, according to the organisation.
At the same time, major works are ongoing in several of the region's tunnels, which are also expected to disrupt traffic.
