The maximum price of petrol 95 (E10) will once again reach new records at the pump in Belgium on Saturday, as will the price of heating oil.
Just under one month ago, the price of petrol 95 (E10) exceeded €2 per litre for the first time in Belgium's history. Now, it will rise 1.7 cents to €2.155 per litre, according to the FPS Economy’s latest update. The prices will come into effect on Saturday and will replace the previous record prices.
Meanwhile, the same record-breaking rise in the price of heating oil will be seen in the case of 50S diesel, which will cost a maximum of €1.45 per litre for an order of more than 2,000 litres and €1.48 per litre for an order of fewer than 2,000 litres.

In both cases, the increase is 3.08 cents per litre. The rise in both prices is expected to further worsen the cost of living crisis, especially for people who depend on their cars to get about on a daily basis.
On the other hand, the maximum price of petrol 98 (E5) fell slightly by 0.8 cents, to €2.394 per litre.
The price increase is a consequence of the quotations of petroleum products on the international markets, according to Belga News Agency.
