The E40 motorway towards France has been closed due to a major traffic collision in which two people have died.
Around 10:30 on Wednesday morning, a car with a French license plate crashed into the back of a truck in the coastal town of Adinkerke.
Controls on the French side frequently generate traffic jams in that area, as it is around 5 kilometres from the French border.
