A day after Brussels Airport advised people against travelling on Monday 20 June because of the planned national strike, Charleroi Airport has now also warned of expected disruptions to its services.
No flights departing from Brussels South Charleroi Airport have yet been cancelled but the airport advises travellers to keep an eye on their flights and contact their airline directly for more information.
"We wish to inform our passengers of possible disruptions," the airport said in a statement on its website. "We, therefore, recommend that travellers arrive at the airport at least three hours before departure."
At Brussels Airport in Zaventem, significant disruptions are expected on Monday as the G4S security staff plan to take part in the union's demonstration in Brussels, the airport announced.

Airline operator Brussels Airlines cancelled more than half of its flights departing on 20 June; the airport said that travellers with a flight departing on that date should rebook for another day. Those who do travel on Monday are advised to travel only with hand luggage.
The demonstration is part of a national strike organised by trade unions in Belgium to once again call on the Federal Government to protect employees in light of the continued rising cost of living.
In recent months, many household budgets in Belgium have been under growing pressure as energy costs and fuel prices rise. This has seen diesel and petrol climb to over €2 per litre for the first time in Belgian history.
Inflation (now 8.97%) is currently at the highest level since 1982, greatly diminishing purchasing power. Demonstrations were organised for the same reasons in February, April and May this year.
