With numerous other industrial actions already planned in the aviation industry, Brussels Airlines personnel have also now announced plans to hold a three-day strike on 23, 24 and 25 June.
This comes after cabin crew issued an indefinite strike notice similar to that issued by the pilots last Friday. Workers are urging management to reduce the high work pressure and index their "cafeteria plan" – a budget for extra-legal benefits, Belga News Agency reports.
On Friday, management met the striking unions in an effort to reach an agreement. However, Brussels Airlines management told Belga News Agency that their financial situation "does not allow us to reverse or reform the current collective labour agreements signed by our three social partners in 2020."

As a result, the airline will adjust its flight schedule to accommodate the crew's participation in the strike actions, with 525 flights currently still scheduled for June 23, 24, and 25.
The airline also noted that they were uncertain how many of these connections would be cancelled but that they would notify all passengers travelling on these days of the status of their trip. If necessary, the airline said it would offer alternative travel options. Passengers were also asked not to contact the Service Center for the time being.
Due to the nationwide demonstrations against the cost of living crisis, Brussels Airlines had already cancelled half of its scheduled flights next Monday.
