Due to an excessive amount of the chlorpyrifos pesticide, Colruyt has chosen to withdraw one of its salads from their stores.

During an internal inspection, the store discovered that one of their products, the "Duo de salades Feuille de chêne (Oak Leaf Salad Duo)," from their Boni Selection, had exceeded the allowed residual levels for the chlorpyrifos pesticide.

In a press release, the company noted that chlorpyrifos only causes health issues when consumed in large quantities. But, after consulting the Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain, they have decided to take it off their shelves.

As a result, Colruyt has asked customers who purchased the product not to consume it and to return it to the shop, where it will be refunded.

The product was sold in Colruyt stores across Belgium and Luxembourg between 17 and 21 June 17 of this year.
